Fall has arrived!

Ahhhh…you can begin to feel it in the air – cooler temps as the Sun continues to shine. The FALL EQUINOX officially begins tomorrow, Saturday, September 22 at 10:49 A.M. EDT. Perfect time to start on a new quilt.

This is The Teacher’s Pet “Walkin’ on Broken Glass” pattern and manyu of you have commented on what a great pattern it is. Well, we have patterns in the shop now. We have several new patterns in the shop.

There has been a lot of talk about Raw Edge Applique and for fun we ordered some of the Laundry Basket Quilt patterns by Edyta Sitar. Don’t you think these would be excellent wallhanging gifts as a Christmas present this year!

There have been a number of you asking for more hexagon and triangle template papers. We have those, as well as a couple of these “Play With Paper” kits by Sue Daley Designs. The kit not only comes with packages of papers, it comes with the plastic templates and a pattern for a really cute wallhanging or table topper.

We are finalizing the October – December 2012 class and event schedule, but before September gets away we have a Sewathon to enjoy. There are four spots remaining in this weekend long sewing party, so give Martha and Erin a shout out this weekend or stop by the store and say hello to these two ladies and let them sign you up for the party. We leave you with the colors of the new season – quilt style – courtesy of Terry Aske, titled “Explosion of Color.” Exactly what we are about to enjoy – outdoors and indoors!

Happy Weekend!
