The Colors Are Amazing!

The UPS man wasn’t happy this week – ha! Box after box arrived and they were heavy. And full of these lovelies!

Yes – these are Kona solids. The first 24 to arrive and the colors in this photo do not due justice. Let’s see, there is Hisbiscus, Lagoon, Curry, Windsor, Coral, Thistle, Ocean, Peacock, Nightfall, Pistachio and soooo many more. Modern quilters enjoy these solids for their quilts, including our guest blogger Angela Walters – who was away this past Monday on vacation, but will be back this coming Monday!

We received a reorder of some favorites in this shop. P & B Suede is luscious and works as a great blender. The colors are very rich and we have three of the colors – ivory, light brown and dark green, in wide backs – 60″ wide.

New books arrived and they are going fast. Included in the shipment Thursday is “A Passion for Precuts” by Pam McMahon and “Color Block Quilts – Perfect for Beginners” by Judith McCabe. We also received a couple of great applique pattern books.

Pat Sloan has some great applique ideas in her book “New Ideas for Applique” and those who enjoy using wool will love “Cozy Wool Applique Pillows” by Elizabeth Angus.

It’s an Olympic kind of weekend at What’s Your Stitch ‘n stuff with a fun weekend of sewing during the “Gold Medal Weekend” Retreat. There are a few spots left if you feel like joining a few crazy, but extremely talented quilters for three days of uninterrupted quilting. Well…it’s almost uninterrupted – the laughter does tend to stop all sewing at times.

Enjoy the weekend and come by the shop and see what’s new. And remember – we LOVE show and tell.
