The weather here has been beautiful, but starting tomorrow it is going to be HOT!

I have been teaching Vacation Bible School all week, guess we are going to be hot now!

We are all going to want a trip to this island by Friday.

Last week was the big quilt show in town.

About 150-175 quilts plus 15 vendors equals lots of fun!

Love how they used the old dress form in the display.  A great mix of old and new.

Annette Kennedy was the featured artist, and her pieces were amazing!

This was my favorite one of hers, the design was taken from a tea box.

The following pieces I do not have the quilters names, sorry…

Love the eagle…

this architecture piece was fabulous…

and this birdhouse was lovely in batiks!

Here are a few more of the new samples and kits from the shop.  First a very simple black and white table runner, with some red accents and ric rac.  $23.95 for the kit.  This would also make a great baby quilt, obviously in a larger square size.  Simple but dramatic and the ric rac is fun and could be in any color.

Finally, here is a little (14″ I think) reproduction quilt.  This is from a great collection of patriotic Civil War fabrics.  The center fabrics has eagles on it, would be great in a variety of projects.  The kit is $14.25

Now that it is truly hot!  I think I will go and sew, sure won’t be going outside much…

Later, Sandra
