Need a project!

Okay, can we just go ahead and say it – whew, what a week! Monday involved lots of laughter with Jackie and Lisa, our resident “Iron Quilters.” There actually was some sewing going on, but more laughter and we love it that way. Then came the boxes…

…filled with patterns! We have several new children’s patterns including these cuties. There is a new children’s apron pattern and a few more for Mom.

Next to the apron patterns are some new handbags and even some duffle bags that look great in batiks. If you are looking for a new, fresh quilt you may want to look at these new modern quilt patterns that arrived (there are a few new table runner and placemat patterns, too!)

While you are at the shop this weekend looking at which pattern will be your next project (okay, maybe even UFO) you can go ahead and sign up for one of the two classes being held this week. This Tuesday, May 1 and the proceeding Tuesday, May 8 is the two session Star Dance daytime class that begins at 10 a.m. and continues until 1 p.m. Jerry Campbell is such a good teacher and loves paper piecing.

Jerry is teaching the Star Dance class during a two session evening class from 7 – 9 p.m. schedule for Thursdays, May 3 & 17. While you have the calendar out you might as well reserve Wednesdays May 2 & 9 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. for the Knotty Baskets class.

Joan Bryan is a joy and you will learn so many techniques, tips and tricks in this class. Both of these classes are two sessions where you begin your piecing or sewing in the first class and work to finish each project in the second class. It’s also a Sewathon weekend meaning the shop will be filled with quilters and they welcome your stopping by to see what they’re working on.

Have a wonderful weekend.
