Fabric Postcards and Fabric

Isn’t this lighthouse postcard terrific! Karen McElvein is a master at teaching you how to take your fabric scraps, add a little decorative sewing, then mix it all up with some stamping and coloring to turn your stash into an amazing eye-catcher in the mail. Even the postman (or woman) will enjoy delivering your mail.

Stop by the shop or give us a call to sign up for this class on Saturday, April 7 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Karen is a great instructor and you’ll leave with several finished postcards ready to mail. If it’s a day class you are looking for, then sign up for the Mariner’s Compass class this Thursday, April 5.

I’m not sure who will have more fun, you in learning how to make this quilt, or Jerry Campbell who is teaching the class! This is a day workshop and it begins at 10 a.m. and will continue until 3 p.m. Of course there will be plenty of time to take a break and enjoy lunch.

While you are in the shop you will want to see the new fabric that arrived. Here’s the cutest panel and fabric for that little girl in the family called Once Upon A Time by S.T.U.D.I.O e fabrics.

Those of you who enjoy reproduction fabric will like the Collections Friendship by Howard Marcus for Moda.

Or how about this fabric titled Heart of A Nation/Williamsburg by Windham Fabrics.

Just a reminder that Easter is this coming Sunday, April 8 and the shop will be closed in observance of this holiday. As always, we enjoy show & tell … and you!
