While the girls are preparing for our ANNUAL CUSTOMER APPRECIATION event tonight, September 1st, I thought I would share with you a few photos of a new concept that I introduced at Spring Quilt Market.  As part of the Quilter’s Gourmet booth, we also had a MAJOR LEAGUE QUILTING section. More information will be coming in the next few months.

Promos for Major League Quilting

You can’t see it in the photo, but there are little baseball shaped cookie cutters: baseball mit, bat and ball.  I wanted to make some cookies to take, but you know how that goes…….well we had a few celebrities stop in and say hello….

Marcie Patch ~ Patchalot Patterns

Our very own Marcie Patch.  She actuallyhad her own booth to take care of but was sweet enough to take time to stop by and see us.  Her friend, Joan was holding down the fort for her.

Susanne McNeill from Design Originals

Susanne was walking by down our asile and the timing couldn’t have been better.
Doesn’t she just look like she belongs in our booth?
Marianne Fons – Love of Quilting
You may remember Marianne coming by the shop last Labor Day weekend to work with us for the Under Our Wings program for Quilts of Valor.  It was good to visit with her again.

Pat Sloan - Fabric designer for P&B and pattern designer

Pat taught a class for us years ago and we have remained friends through the years.  She has a wonderful yahoo group that does lots of fun projects.  Cruses and everything!!

Kim McWherter - Proud supporter of MLQ

Kim is always up for some Quilting Fun……She flew in from Pensacole right after taking her college finals, and was a good sport to wear a jersey around market.  How do you like me now?

First pattern from MLQ - OMG!.....I'm Quilting!

This pattern is available at the shop for $5.00.  It is a simple laminated pattern for beginners.

Our jerseys were a hit at market.  I even have a few orders for some vendors to wear in Houston.  Nick at Primitive Gatherings has his on the way.  They were very generous with their donation for our Customer Appreciation Night. And we THANK THEM.  Check out their website at:

Wouldn't this make a beautiful quilt? This was our view during one of our dinners.

Well that’s all for now.  Gotta run and pick up the Syd-a-nator and take her to gymnastics then we are going with the girl scouts to work the RIBFEST.  Does it get any better in SD?  Have fun tonight and
See you soon,
Holly By Golly
Pierre, SD

    • Thank you Virginia and all our loyal customers. Because of you, we can do what we do!! I will let you know about the jersey. Photos to follow this week about the event. I heard the knit shop was a little curious about what was going on and thought there were drugs involved…..ha….ha

  2. Well, i guess quilting is kind of a drug. I know for me it is a hard habit to kick 🙂
