The good, the bad, and the ugly

Today has been a fun day, goofing off with a friend of mine.  Once again we wandered over to Floyd, Virginia to stroll through the town…

The good of it…

Having lunch and shopping with a friend!

Holding the four week old kittens in one of the shops.

Stopping at the Amish bakery on the way home.

(I’m sure that our dinner is in there somewhere…).

The bad of it…

Starting the day with this guy.

Who flagged me down to tell me

you have a totally flat tire!

and the ugly of it

Now, before you say anything, I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and I don’t want to offend anyone.  That being said we stopped at a huge fabric store in town.  They have a small quilting section which we wandered through…They wrap their fat quarters in plastic wrap…Of course I had to buy one or two…

Then we wandered into the upholstery part of the store…

literally mounds of fabric.  From there we headed into the craft room.

Take a powdered laundry detergent measuring cup, add trim, a plastic angel and a plastic nativity scene inside…Now that is special!

From there, we decided it would be best to go to lunch…

Hope your weekend is more good then the other…

Later, Sandra

  1. Now that my friend is priceless … how many have you made so far bah ha ha ha ha

  2. Just one for you! So far…

  3. You forgot to mention that they sell that mound of fabric by the ound! Did you wander into the room with the creaky floor and the very scary mannequin?? If not, you must go back there…. As for the laundry detergent Christmas thingy… oh. my. god. Thanks for the entertaining post. I do like that store though…

  4. That was nice of the police officer. Whenever I get stopped it’s never a good thing….oh well…..guess they know me now.
