Armed Forces Celebration

Here are the first pictures I’ve received of the “Freedom Twin” class taught by Norma Campbell.  (Thanks Mary Lynn and Sue!)  The class was on Saturday, as part of Armed Forces Day.  The students in the class worked on their quilts, two at a time.  A possibility of keeping one for yourself and giving one away as a Quilts of Valor to a service person.  What a great idea!

Here are the students in the class, with their projects.  I believe the finished one in the center may have been the class sample…The two quilts on the right, which are almost complete are from Mary Lynn and Betts, who did some sewing ahead of time.

What a difference in the quilts, just with the way they are laid out!

Here is Norma with a finished quilt top.

Of course, not everything was red, white and blue.  Isn’t this one going to be fabulous!

This picture gives you an idea of how the quilt top was assembled.

How about the red, white and black?  This is Holly’s new favorite color combination!

Another red, white and blue version.

I’ve heard that the classes were a lot of fun!  I am hoping there are pictures from the lecture and Fridays’ class too.  I believe there are still a kit or two left in the store for the sample quilt!  You don’t want to miss out entirely…

Later, Sandra

  1. When will the pattern be on sale. Know the technique.

    • The pattern is available in the store now! I am not sure of the price thou…Sue?

      • The pattern is available for $8.00

  2. The quilt with the teal, green, brown is Diana Behling’s and the black, white & red is a Cat quilt and belongs to Jan Long.

A big THANK YOU to Norma Campbell and Sue Troyan!!! The workshops and lecture went off without a hitch and everyone had a great time.
