Norma Campbell coming to teach for us!

Stitch ‘n Stuff is so excited to announce that Norma Campbell, of Annapolis Maryland, is coming for a weekend of classes and fun!

It all begins the evening of Thursday May 19th, Norma will present her trunk show and lecture “Thirty Thirties”.   Norma will share stories, humor and the history behind her many ’30’s quilts.  You will love these charmers and want to make one for yourself!  The lecture begins at 7pm and the cost is $10.

The fun continues on Friday, May 20th with her “Purple Posies” class.  This can be a ’30’s style quilt but would be fabulous in a wide variety of fabrics.  With Norma you will enjoy learning new easy ways to create your own treasures.  The workshop/class is from 9:30 – 4 and the cost is $50.

Now, for the best part of all, on Saturday May 21st, Norma is offering a new class to our customers first!  The class was designed to honor Armed Forces Weekend and the Quilts of Valor.  “Freedom Twins” is a variation of a Trip Around the World.  First you will learn Norma’s piecing technique to use again and again.  Second, you make not one but two different stunning quilts at the same time!    Perhaps one quilt to keep and one to present as a Quilts of Valor.  The workshop/class is from 9:30 – 4 and the cost is $50.

Call the shop(757)523-2711 or come in to sign up today!  Class size is limited.  Kits will be available for the Freedom Twins class using the new Quilts of Valor fabrics.  Class size is limited.

Wow, that’s a lot of details to read!  And no pictures either…Just remember this

  • May 19-21
  • Lots and lots of fun with a great teacher!
  • New things to learn, with fellow quilters!
  • Sign up soon!

Samples will be in the shop soon and I will pass those pictures on to you!

We had a beautiful, sunny day here in the mountains, supposed to be in the 80’s tomorrow!  Snow yesterday and summer tomorrow.

Here is a finished wool mat that I am sending to the shop. It is called Saltbox Table Mat from Primitive Gatherings.  It is pretty big, 22 inches or so.  The kit is available for $49.

Later everyone, Sandra
