A big finish, well a finish anyway!

Fell in love with this quilt when I first saw it made up!  It is called Sunshine and Blue from ‘The Cottage at Cardiff Farms’.  It is a beautiful combination of cotton backgrounds with wool appliques.   Right up my alley!  Here is the cover photo of the pattern.

I chose a scrappy black and tan border, made from a lot of Jo Morton reproduction fabrics.  Then I appliqued my sunflowers and stems, and used a red pitcher to hold them all.  I quilted it to death!  Which you can’t really see in the photo.  Next week it will be in the shop, just in time for Shop Hop!

We also chose a block of the month from this designer, something we hope to start in June or so.  This is really not the best photo of it…but when you see it when we get it started you will love it too!If you would like to see other patterns from this designer, check out her website at

A beautiful spring day here in the neighborhood!  60’s and sunny!  Love it!

Later, Sandra
