The name of a pattern, not an English test.  Sue sent me the fabric and the pattern for a new sample a couple of weeks ago.  The name of the pattern is “Definitions’, designed by Jean Ann Wright for Marcus Brothers Fabric.   The pattern is a free download at the Marcus website and features a fabric collection from Faye Burgos.  The piano key border is actually a preprinted stripe design!  You gotta love that!  Once it is quilted you’ll never know…

The quilt is really big, 68″ x 88″, and very easy to put together!  A very friendly pattern.

We made our quilt in the brown/gray/cream colorway, and it turned out really nice.  As I was working with these fabrics I started thinking about a wedding quilt I need to make.  The mother of the groom suggested I make their quilt ‘neutral’.  Which explains why I haven’t even started it!  Neutral to me does not sound very exciting…What do you think about these fabrics?  Does this count as neutral?

Here it is draped over my bed.  As you can see it is really a nice size.  I believe that kits are available in the store for this quilt!

I’ve heard it was pretty crazy at the store today.  Did any of you go in for the Super Bowl sale?

Spring should be coming to my house now.  After too many winter days that we could not get any of our three cars up the hill to our house.  My husband broke down and bought an all wheel drive Subaru Forester.  Today, the sun finally came out!!!!!!

Right now he is in Atlanta on his way to Pensacola, Florida.  Where it is only in the 40s and 50s.  Guess I won’t be jealous about that!  I wonder if Kim will want to take him around to the local quilt shops?  A girl can dream can’t she…

Counting down the days to quilt show, Sandra
