Home again, Home again, Jiggity Jig

Well one of us is home. Sandra is spending a couple of days in Houston visiting with an old friend and Crazy Holly is still trying to get home; she ended up having to spend the night in Minneapolis and is now waiting for the 2nd plane (as the first had a mechanical problem) to arrive at a new gate to get her to South Dakota. ūüė¶¬†¬† The things we go through to bring you all the newest¬†bling from Market.

We had a great, but exhausting time in Houston. The Quilts of Valor/Under Our Wings schoolhouse sessions, booth, and the launch of the American Valor Fabric Lines from 9 different fabric companies all went fantastically well!!!!!  Holly, with assistance from Sandra, Kim McWherter, and me, worked her tail off styling the booth. Marianne Fons, QOV Founder Catherine Roberts, & Holly manned the booth for the many, many hours of Market, explaining the new program. Big Thanks to: Moda Fabrics for loaning us some props for the booth; APQS for toting the furniture back to Iowa for Marianne; and to the 9 fabric companies for taking a chance on the Quilts of Valor/Under Our Wings program. They are in alphabetical order:

Andover Fabrics, Clothworks, Marcus Fabrics, Moda Fabrics, P&B Textiles, Quilting Treasures, Red Rooster Fabrics, Timeless Treasures, and Windham Fabrics.

Marcie Patch of Patchalot Patterns with the assistance of Joan Werner had a fantastic booth set up. I’m sure she’ll tell you all about her adventures at her first Quilt Market as an exhibitor, so be sure to click the link in the sidebar for Patchalotmore, Marcie’s blog.

We did manage to get some shopping done for WYSNS while we were at Market. We ordered some great fabrics, found some new patterns, books, rulers, and all sorts of other things. You’ll have to stop by the shop, starting tomorrow and check out the things I hauled home in my very, very heavy luggage. The remainder of the items will be shipped in. I did bring back several different books, signed by the authors, so don’t miss out.

See you at the shop or here in blogland…SueG
