Floyd County Quilt Show

Last weekend I went to the Floyd County Quilt Show..  The town is about 30-40 minutes from here and it is a hippy town!!  It is a very artsy, musical and “free” kind of place.  If you get what I mean.  But, you must admit, it is a beautiful  country place!

The quilt show is held every year and shows quilts from VA, NC, SC,  and MD.  Like any show there is a wide range of quilts and wearables.  But, this show has a large amount of art quilts!  Especially for such a rural place.  The show is pretty tiny, maybe 50 quilts or so.  Here are a few that I enjoyed.

Neat, and very different.

This one was my favorite, by far!

You can’t tell in the photo, but this is all log cabin pieced, with tiny strips!

Finally, one of the beautiful wearables!

I’ll save a few more quilt photos for tomorrow.

Later, Sandra
