Heidi-Idy's Happenings 'n Stuff

What’s Yours Stitch ‘n Stuff is a Quilt Shop located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Mom and I started the shop (18 years ago) as a way to spend time together while doing something we love. We try to provide a place for women to come and share their talents and be appreciated for their handiwork. Something that is not always a given at home. We have seen young women grow more confident n their personality as they progress in their quilting ability. Our “flavor” is folk art/primitive, & civil war repro, but we expand our palate often. We carry wool, wool felt, punchneedle embroidery, rug hooking, notions…. We try to keep things fresh; there is always something new on the horizon and we want to stay current.

Heidi-Idy is our shop “mascot”. She started out as just a simple purchased clip-art logo and has become a beloved member of our family. When I am at the shop and not “working”, the girls call me Heidi and my mother has been called Idy by the kids in our neighborhood, so…Heidi-Idy was born. Cathy, our manager, made a doll to look like her and she goes to market to meet all the “big wigs”. We also have a mannequin that looks like her, we dress her for special occasions.  We hope you enjoy hearing about Heidi-Idy’s Happenings and all that is going on at the shop.  Happy Quilting, Holly
